WOODSLAND’S EFFORTS TO REDUCE GREENHOUSE GAS EMISSIONS – TOWARDS GREEN & SUSTAINABLE MANUFACTURING

02.071

At Woodsland’s two largest factories – Thuan Hung and Yen Son – rooftop solar systems generate up to 7.9 million kWh of electricity annually, covering approximately 70% of the factories’ total production power needs. This marks a significant step in the company’s transition toward a greener production model.

In addition to clean electricity from solar energy, Woodsland also utilizes International Renewable Energy Certificates (IRECs) to certify that the remaining portion of electricity consumption is offset by renewable sources. This ensures that the company’s entire manufacturing process aligns with its commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Woodsland has proactively invested in clean energy infrastructure, with its first solar power system installed in 2021, demonstrating a long-term vision for sustainable development.

In the next phase, Woodsland will continue to expand solar power capacity while fully measuring and managing greenhouse gas emissions under Scope 1, 2, and 3, covering direct, indirect, and entire supply chain activities. The company is also accelerating the greening of its value chain, promoting the use of eco-friendly solutions, materials, and technologies.

These efforts aim to realize the company’s Net Zero goal—achieving complete carbon neutrality—while reinforcing Woodsland’s strong commitment to building a sustainable and environmentally responsible manufacturing model.
