1. Superior Structure & Quality

1

Birch Plywood is crafted from multiple thin wood veneers, each 1.7 to 2mm thick, arranged in alternating layers and bonded with specialized adhesive. The composition consists of three main components:

Core Layers:

  • Composed of multiple thin veneer layers, each 1.7 to 2mm thick.
  • Always an odd number of layers to balance stress and enhance mechanical durability.

Surface Layers:

  • Made of high-quality Birch veneer, 0.2 to 0.3mm thick, offering an aesthetically pleasing finish.

Adhesive:

  • Uses Urea Formaldehyde (UF) adhesive compliant with CARB P2 standards, ensuring strong bonding and formaldehyde emissions within E0 standards.

Key Advantages:

High Mechanical Strength:

  • The cross-layer arrangement provides remarkable rigidity and load-bearing capacity, making it ideal for demanding construction applications.

Excellent Screw-Holding Capacity:

  • Facilitates easy installation and machining, enhancing construction efficiency.

Consistent Quality:

  • Resistant to warping and shrinking over time, ensuring long-term dimensional stability and aesthetics.

Reusability & Versatile Sizes:

  • Cost-effective and adaptable for various interior and construction applications.

Considerations:

Limited Water Resistance:

  • Requires specialized adhesive (Phenol Formaldehyde) for use in humid environments.

Higher Cost:

  • More expensive than other engineered wood products, but offers superior durability and quality.

2. Advanced Manufacturing Standards & Process

Quality Standards

  • CARB P2 Certification:
  • Complies with CARB P2 standards with formaldehyde emissions below 0.05ppm, ensuring safety and environmental friendliness.

Production Process

The Birch Plywood production process is meticulously controlled across 20 steps to guarantee quality from raw materials to finished products.

Veneer Sorting:

  • Workers classify veneers into A and B grades, with thicknesses of 1.7mm or 2mm and moisture content below 20%.

Glue Application:

  • Veneers pass through a glue roller, ensuring even adhesive distribution.

Layer Stacking:

  • Conveyor systems stack dry and wet veneers alternately, with top-grade A veneers on the outer layers.

Cold Pressing:

  • Stacked veneers undergo cold pressing for at least 8 hours with four pistons to pre-form the plywood.

Initial Trimming & Sanding:

  • Excess wood is trimmed, and gaps are filled before the first sanding.

Core Hot Pressing:

  • Veneers are subjected to controlled heat and pressure, with pressing time adjusted according to thickness (e.g., 15mm takes 5 minutes, 21mm takes 40 minutes).

Surface Treatment & Final Pressing:

  • The plywood is sealed, sanded, and hot-pressed again with a Birch veneer surface at 110-120°C and 110-120kg pressure.

Final Inspection & Packaging:

  • Rigorous quality control checks ensure precise dimensions, moisture content, and structural integrity before packaging for shipment.
